About Me

Hello Readers!!

I’m  Renée Thomas and welcome to my food blog – Renées Recipe

About me…

A mother to a very naughty and super-active 3-year-old toddler and a wife to a Syrian Christian man. And if you have had an experience with either ( a toddler or a Syrian Christian Keralite), you’ll know what an appetite they both can have. And just serving them food is just not enough. They need variety. Perfection. They both know to differentiate really good food from average dishes (in their words “it’s ok-but-please-don’t-make-it-again). Yea, they are my critics. Especially the toddler, if it’s not perfect, no matter what you do, you can’t put a morsel in his mouth. It’s shut tight. It needs to be perfectly delicious. So-So will just not do. Hmph!

A Food Blog because..

A passion for all things edible just had to find an outlet!! Due to the need for variety, I started to collect recipes from wherever I can get them from. I experiment once in a while from my collection and needed a one stop place where I could track all the tried, tested and triumphant ones.

The cuisine…

will be more of Indian, especially South Indian. I like my food spicy, really spicy. And I think no cuisine can beat Indian cooking in that. But then again, I just experiment. There are no boundaries to cooking. So you’ll find many dishes in here that’s from across the globe.

Join me on a cullinary journey that celebrates the world of cooking and good food from my kitchen to yours..

Hi Renee, love your name and your blog name too! Coincidence that just today I was browsing around for the significance of the color purple and I see your lovely comment on my blog 🙂 thanks for the encouragement and great to my blog added on your blogroll! I see you’re new here, and so am I, just 4 months old, but it has been a truly exhilarating journey. You get to make friends with so many kindred souls too. I wish you all the best, and warm wishes to your family too. I think my son may be just 6 months younger than yours so I can relate on that level too. Have a great new year and happy blogging!

Thankyou so much Linda for all the kind words. Hope you try some dishes and you like them too.
Btw… Seen your name many a time on Mo’s wall. And the main reason ur name has caught my eye is because my SIL’s name is Linda too. And after her marriage to my bro, she became Linda Thomas 🙂

Hey renee, thanks so much for your cutlet recipe. I’m punjabi and am married to a m alayalee whose mom used to make awsome cutlets and sambar to die for.
Since i can’t come close to replicate her sambar, the cutlets came out rather well.
    Thanks again.
